- Collaborated on an iterative design process with staff at MITH.
- Revamped their old site using WordPress as a content management system so it can more easily updated.
- Researched, recommended and directed a consultant to work on WordPress plugin to display centers.
- William F. Cody Archive
- Created initial design mockups and interface implementation.
- Helped evaluate materials and consulted on encoding encoding.
- Indexed documents with SOLR and incorporated search results into site using XSLT.
- Designed search, including people and places auto complete that takes advantage of rich encoding of documents.
- Authored XSLT and implemented site in Cocoon in conjunction with programmer.
- In all steps worked closely with faculty and staff at UNL and the Buffalo Bill Historical Center to ensure goals of project were met.

- Researched and implemented HTML5, CSS3, and mobile design strategies for new Center projects.
- Researched and implemented best practices such as semantic HTML, progressive enhancement and responsive web design.
- Kept accessibility and usability of sites at forefront at all times.

- Taught session for Doug Seefeldt’s class on CSS, which included the creation a tutorial they could follow along with.
- Gave several presentations pertaining to work topics: Design, Accessibility, and Digital Humanities at annual state library conference. (see all presentations)
- Taught and consulted with students on CSS, HTML, javascript, and project creation.
Reference Job Share:
- Work a shift of reference every week, which includes on desk and chat reference.
- Attend meetings, workshops, training, etc., to keep up on reference skills.

Accomplishments:
- Took and kept minutes for meeting, and migrated minutes from unsearchable word documents to searchable minutes kept on a wiki.
- Implemented a project management system for staff and faculty. Project involved research, presentation, and selection of software, as well as installation, troubleshooting and implementation. One piece of software, MediaWiki, has now become the department’s main place to store documents and collaborate.
- Created a branded look for Center communication pieces, including brochures, handouts, postcards, advertisements and website components. Advertisements have been placed in the Chronicle for Higher Education and the New York Review of Books. Also created promotion pieces for various scholarly websites.
- Helped organize and run several successful events, including the Nebraska Digital Workshop (2006, 2007 and 2008), a TEI workshop, and department retreats.
- Designed Nebraska Public Documents (http://cdrh.unl.edu/nebpubdocs/) site, and helped manage and alter files.

Web Designer

Accomplishments:
- In consultation with the web development team, helped to create an Information Architecture for a new public site.
- Created design mockups and eventual production images and code for new websites, with an emphasis on ease of use and accessibility, in addition to integration with old systems.
- Left commission with materials to migrate old content to new templates and integrate login and security mechanisms for site.
